Computer Education is provided to all students from classes III to XII. Apart from the academic ventures a variety of co-curricular activities are also conducted. The institution aims at a comprehensive development of the child with accent on mental, moral and physical well-being. The Vidyalaya is being developed as a quality Vidyalaya with some of the useful features of popular residential schools, without making the schooling very expensive. The institution strives to mould the child into a healthy individual imbued with high moral values and aims at the three-fold development achieved through the head, the heart and the hand. In little over a decade, the institution has steadily grown in stature and has begun to make a mark as one of the model Kendriya Vidyalayas in this part of the State. Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Education, (HRD) Govt. of India, New Delhi as a result of the recommendations of the Second Pay Commission. They primarily cater for the educational needs of the children of Central Govt. Employees including Defence personnel liable to frequent transfers throughout the country. Needless to say, therefore, they have a common syllabus and are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Every school, hence is a 'Miniature India' in itself and tries to inculcate in its students feelings of patriotism, brotherhood and national integration. Admission is opened to all categories of applicants including non-Central Government Employees. |
